Tree saver strap 1.5 m x 7.5cm
A flat woven anchor strap for winch recoveries, rated to 12 Tons. Wrapping a winch rope directly around a tree cuts through the bark and rings the tree, and the sharp bark destroys the rope from the outside in. A tree saver spreads the load over a wide, flat contact patch and takes that abrasion instead.

How to use it
- Pass the strap round the anchor as low on the trunk as possible and join the two eyes with a rated shackle
- Never pass the strap through its own eye and cinch it – that concentrates the load and weakens the webbing
- Keep the strap flat against the anchor, not twisted
- Inspect for cuts, fraying and UV damage before every use
Important – this is not a snatch strap
A tree saver is deliberately static. It does not stretch and must never be used as a kinetic recovery strap, and never for towing or lifting. Always lay a recovery damper over the line during a pull, keep bystanders well outside the danger zone, and never step over a loaded line.
